Meet Elizabeth:
Elizabeth is a third-generation coffee producer with a strong focus on clean coffee with scores ranging from 80 to 85 points. She runs a solid company that handles larger volumes through contracts, purchasing coffee cherries and processing them in her own factory.
In 2024, she ventured into natural processed coffees for the first time, but she traditionally offers three different washed profiles. Her coffees are known for their clean cups, good acidity, and medium body, showcasing a solid representation of her origin, Villa Rica.
Elizabeth is a graduate of Agraria La Molina University and has 15 years of experience in a cooperative, specializing in the commercialization and exportation of organic fair trade coffee.
Over the past decade, she has also expanded her work by establishing a specialty coffee plantation on 10 hectares and formally founded Bio Verde Café to process coffee from the cherry in Villa Rica.
Post harvest processing
The coffee cherries are transported to the main processing plant, where they are washed, fermented for 3 days in small containers, and dried in raised beds for anywhere from 15 days to 25 days.
