This year, we ventured outside our usual sourcing areas, and one of these new regions is Sandia, Puno.

Located extremely close to Bolivia, the area shares a strong exchange of culture and commerce. Many people from Puno travel to Bolivia on a weekly basis, and the movement of goods, traditions, and knowledge is very much part of daily life.

This exchange goes beyond culture, puno also shares Bolivia’s climate. The coffee growing regions are very close to one another, producing exceptional coffees with profiles remarkably similar to each other.

Delia Capquique and her husband Tibet, are both Puneños who run a small farm focused on rare varieties for exclusive clients. This year, we decided to work together to bring a washed Geisha that represents the terroir of their unique climate within Peru’s broader coffee offerings.

This coffee does exactly that, its incredible florality truly stands apart. We’re excited to continue working together in 2026.

  • Post harvest processing

    Traditionally Washed:

Delia and Tibet harvest the cherries at peak ripeness, then de-pulp and wash them the same day. The coffee is then dried on raised beds, with absolutely no fermentation at any stage of the process.

Harvesting and washing are completed in one day, followed by approximately 2–3 weeks of drying to reach optimal moisture levels.

This meticulous approach results in a coffee with exceptional florality and a clear expression of the area’s terroir.
