Shipment and cup of excellence update
First and foremost, Edwin Quea and Nory Quispe placed number 4 in the cup of excellence this year for second time in a row, this is a mayor achievement for them and demonstrates the effort they punt into their products year after year. We are very happy for them!
As a summary on the cup of excellence, the top 30 coffees this year received higher scores than last year’s group, marking a significant improvement in the overall offering of Peruvian coffees, this is primarily due to a greater investment in post-production knowledge.
Secondly, we recently received the 3 varieties from Edwin that you see in our main page: catimor, typica and bourbon. They have all successfully passed our quality control and therefore are being prepared for shipment set to leave Peru on the fifth of december.
Finally, I have updated the information of the varieties on their respective pages, considering the latest cupping and grading of the green coffee, as per SCA protocol.
