Ariving and selling in Texas

Our first shipment came and went! It was a great experience meeting new clients and getting to know the ins and outs of the Texan specialty coffee market.

When the coffee arrived in the port of Houston we had a significant hold up in customs for several examinations of the cargo, we expect it was flagged due to it being our first import. This caused some delays and extra expenses I did not fully expect. That being said, they released the cargo, and our first shipment was on its way to Plano!

After that, it was time for packing samples, delivering to prospect clients, and waiting for the answers. We had to make several price adjustments as we learned about how our competitors were pricing, and Edwin and I were very nervous on how the coffee would be received.

Thankfully the overall sentiment was positive, and with good service, all our coffee was sold in less than 3 weeks.

I meet some amazing people; great business owners and coffee fanatics like me. We hope to continue delivering fresh coffee for these fantastic clients and more!
